❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a textbook or buy anything?
No. Everything you need is in this course — lessons, examples, activities. The course is all-inclusive. Save your money.
How fast should I move through the modules?
Work at your own pace. A typical module (with reading, activities, and writing) takes 3–5 hours. If you spend 2–3 hours per week, you’ll finish in 6–12 weeks. Don’t rush — understanding matters more than speed. If something is confusing, re-read it or try the H5P activity again.
What if I don’t understand a grammar rule?
Re-read the lesson. Do the added activities to get instant feedback and better understanding. If you’re still confused, ask the AI Tactical Tutor — type your question and it will explain more it.
Can I get feedback on my writing before I submit?
Yes, you can use the AI STANAG Writing Tutor. Paste a draft paragraph and ask: “Can you give me feedback on this?” The tutor will comment on grammar, clarity, and STANAG compliance. If you wish to receive teacher’s feedback, submit the course assignments.
What is STANAG 6001 Level 2?
STANAG 6001 is NATO’s standard for assessing military and professional English. Level 2 means you can write routine professional documents — emails and reports accurately and clearly. It’s recognized internationally. If you’re training for a military role or international assignment, Level 2 shows you’re qualified. This course prepares you for the STANAG exam or strengthens your professional writing either way.
Do I have to write an essay?
No. STANAG Level 2 doesn’t test essays — it tests practical genres like emails, letters, summaries, and notices. That’s what you’ll write here. If you want to write longer pieces later, you’ll have the skills. But essays aren’t part of Level 2.
Can I do the activities several times?
Yes, you can and you should! Do as many attempts as you need. These activities are for practice.
How is my writing evaluated?
The AI STANAG Writing Tutor scores your writing assignments. It checks for task fulfilment (did you answer the question?), coherence (is it organized?), accuracy (is the grammar correct?), and register (is your tone right?). You get detailed feedback with examples of how to improve. This feedback is for learning, not punishment — it helps you get better.
Can I revise my writing after feedback?
Yes, you can and you should. Revision is where real learning happens. Read the AI tutor’s feedback, understand what to fix, revise, and resubmit. The tutor will give you new feedback. This cycle — write → feedback → revise → better feedback — is how you develop as a writer. Don’t submit once and move on. Aim for progress.
